STA is very pleased to once again sponsor the Chicago Coder Conference, June 26 & 27. STA has been a key supporter from its inception, four years ago. This year’s conference offers 15 technology tracks and 100+ speakers, including some local Chicago technology celebrities. The University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center is once again the event’s location. Several of STA’s team from the Technology and Digital practices have been selected to speak. STA is also providing all the Program Management.
The conference is a not-for-profit event sponsored by organizations with Chicago roots designed to feature local technology talent and give back to the community. Any excess funds are donated to local charities; for 2017, the charities are i.c. stars and ChickTech.
Substantially funded by sponsors and run by volunteers, the maximum registration fee for attendees is $400 for the 2-day conference. In addition to STA Group, this year’s sponsor companies include: JP Morgan Chase, Trustwave, Capital One, Cars.com, McDonalds, GoGo Networks, Peapod, kCura, STA Group, Forte, and LifeRay.
Students may also volunteer for a half-day shift and attend the conference for free. For the students, it’s not only a great opportunity to further their education, but also to meet individuals from a variety of Chicago companies and to network. Learn more CCC volunteering opportunities.
